Hydrogenation Catalyst- SARV620
SARV-620 is an extrudate trilobe alumina impregnated with cobalt and molybdenum. Its promoter composition and pore size distribution have been optimized to improve hydrogenation of sulfur species and mercaptans.
Process:
Cobalt and molybdenum-based catalysts supported on special alumina are applied for hydrogenation of sulfur (S) in hydrocarbon feeds ranging from natural gas to refined petroleum products such as naphtha, gasoline or petrol, and kerosene fuel. A complicated approach is applied to control the surface area, pore size distributions of support, cobalt and molybdenum content, and sulfidation of the catalyst. These parameters affect the catalytic properties and deactivation of the catalysts.
