Heat Shield -SARV120SH

SARV-120H is a nickel-based catalyst supported on high-purity aluminum oxide. SARV-120H is an active heat shield for a secondary reforming catalyst.

Secondary reforming is used to increase the conversion of methane to hydrogen and, in an ammonia process, add nitrogen via the introduction of air.
Autothermal Reforming (ATR) is a process for producing syngas, composed of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, by partially oxidizing a hydrocarbon feed with oxygen and steam and subsequent catalytic reforming. Oxygen-fed autothermal reformers require a mixed loading of catalysts, containing an active heat shield and a reforming catalyst.
