Heat Shield -SARV120RH
SARV-120 is a Ni-based catalyst supported on calcium aluminate. This catalyst is used for reforming the primary reformer outlet stream. This catalyst possesses the properties of optimized geometric shapes which provides a very low-pressure drop and high external surface area, high catalytic activity and low methane slip, high stable catalytic performance, long lifetime, and high thermal resistance.
Process (shared):
Secondary reforming is used to increase the conversion of methane to hydrogen and, in an ammonia process, add nitrogen via the introduction of air.
Autothermal Reforming (ATR) is a process for producing syngas, composed of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, by partially oxidizing a hydrocarbon feed with oxygen and steam and subsequent catalytic reforming. Oxygen-fed autothermal reformers require a mixed loading of catalysts, containing an active heat shield and a reforming catalyst.
