Ammonia Cracking Catalyst – SARV260
SARV-260 is an ammonia cracking catalyst suitable for use over a wide range of temperatures. This catalyst is Nickel as active phase on specially prepared Alumina support. The catalyst is available in 4-hole-4-flute cylinder shape to provide a higher geometric surface area and decreased pressure drop. The diameter of the shaped catalyst is in the range of 13–14 mm.
Process:
Nickel-based catalysts supported on special calcium aluminate are applied in an ammonia cracker which cracks ammonia to produce N₂ and H₂ mixture. The reaction gas product is used for heat treatment of steel material for brazing, sintering, deoxidation, and nitridation.
A complicated approach is applied to control the surface area and pore size distributions of support and nickel content and particle size in catalyst. These parameters affect the catalytic properties and deactivation of catalyst due to carbon deposition and sintering.
